Everything is Bigger in Texas – Including Arm! 

 Our Austin office lies in the heart of Texas and is home to almost 1,000 employees, making our office an extremely diverse and cultural mix. Working across nearly all of Arm’s groups, from Systems to Sales, our teams get to collaborate with others from around the world. 

Office Culture 

As the capital of Texas, Austin is known for live music scene and technology industries. We’ve been based at various locations around the city, but we're now settled in a modern office campus about 10 miles from downtown Austin. 

 We have a mixture of new joiners and people who have been here since the start of the company; some of whom began their Arm journey in Austin and some who have joined us from one of our global offices. There is a world map on the 4th floor that’s covered with pins showing where everyone comes from – and it’s such an impressive sight! 

 The office has an active social calendar year-round, from summer celebrations to holiday parties, as well as cultural events and ‘Taco Tuesdays’. There is always something fun going on in Austin.

Office Spaces 

The Austin office has amazing 360-degree views of downtown, so you’ll never have a dull sight when looking out any of the windows. Our facilities here are great; there is a large parking garage and lots of great outdoor spaces, including a baseball and soccer field, basketball court, sand volleyball court, fitness center and on-campus cafe. The great combination of personal desk areas, meeting rooms and quiet areas means you can tailor your work around a space that is a perfect fit for you – enabling you to do great things. 

 

Departments in the Office 

Austin has a little bit of everything and members from nearly all of Arm’s groups, including Central Engineering Systems, engineering for Open-Source Software, Architecture and Technology, Legal, IT, and People – in fact, you name it, and Austin is almost guaranteed to be involved! 

Coming Together as a Team 

Arm Austin prides itself on being a very collaborative site. We have numerous employee resource groups, such as Pride@Arm, Women@Arm and Black@Arm (just to name a few), along with our Team Arm volunteering initiative where employees are encouraged to give back to their local community on a monthly basis.

Office Amenities 

Our employees spend a lot of time outdoors (at least when the weather isn’t 100+ Fahrenheit degrees outside!) People meet and eat in the cafeteria for a bite to eat, play basketball or soccer, go for walks around the site, work-out or go for a run. If being outdoors is not your thing, there are also ping-pong and, foosball tables and, and video games to play, so you can always find something to get involved with during break time.   

The quality of the cafeteria menu is so good most people don’t need to go out for lunch, and the coffee bar is better than most local spots too! The office is easily accessible by car or public transportation too, making it easy for everyone for travel to work. 

 

Office Location and Local Spaces 

With so many things to do in Austin, you will never have a boring weekend. The must-sees include the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and the State Capitol. If you are interested in hearing what could be the next big artist, check out Austin City Limits, the ACL Music Festival and SXSW (South by Southwest). For activities that are less crowded, there are plenty of outdoor hiking paths to take advantage of. One of the most popular is the Butler Hike and Bike Trail around Lady Bird Lake. 

We are in Texas, which of course, means BBQ is the most popular cuisine. There are some great traditional places like Franklin’s, Rudy’s and Terry Black’s and there is always the city’s thriving food truck scene to explore. It will be impossible to cross them all off your list as new dinner options are always popping up!
