At our design centres in Trondheim and Oslo we develop the most shipped GPU in the world, our Mali™ line of GPUs. What you could be doing as a Graduate?

Our next Graduate Hardware Engineers will join one of our GPU hardware teams working on either design, verification or implementation.

  • Design work encompasses exploring the design space for our upcoming GPU features and improving power, performance and area metrics.
  • A verification role aims at testing the GPU in any possible scenario, for quality assurance.
  • The implementation team is responsible for finding an optimal way to place and connect the GPU building blocks onto a single piece of silicon, while meeting timing, area and power requirements.

Alongside the tasks of any role, all our graduates will have a learning path deep-diving into topics around graphics, technical skills and GPU processor architecture.

We are looking for individuals who:

Hold (or are on track to hold) a degree by the programme start date. This can be a Bachelors, Masters or PhD within Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant subjects. Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience.

Besides a solid motivation for our role, you must enjoy coding and have a good proficiency within at least one programming language. You have to work well in a team setting. At Arm, We value teamwork and believe in collaborating to enable both others and ourselves.

Qualities that will help your application stand out:

  • A keen interest in processors, with a good understanding of computer architecture and micro-architecture concepts
  • Experience with hardware design and Hardware Description Languages like SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL and Chisel
  • Familiarity with hardware verification using formal verification environments or simulation based checking
  • Synthesis of register transfer level code for FPGAs or standard cells
  • Experience with Linux, Git and continuous integration
