GPU Modelling Graduate Engineer

Job ID 2026-17984 Date posted Sep. 14, 2026 Location Trondheim, Norway Category Software Engineering, Graduate Apply

This role is within the GPU Modelling Team, where we have an amazing opportunity for a graduate developer. Our models are written in C++ and implement in detail the micro-architecture of our GPU products. They are extensively used by teams within Arm for different use cases and are delivered to external partners.

Whatyou could be doing as a Graduate:

Your role will primarily be to model different aspects of our upcoming GPUs. This will involve taking ownership of some of the components, correlating the model behaviour against the hardware, problem solving and debugging. You will be working with dedicated and engaged people across the globe as part of our multi-site development projects. Your work will have a large impact on the design and quality of future GPUs and ultimately on the success of Arm.

If you would like to craft the future of energy-efficient devices, this is the place to be!

We are looking for individuals who:

Hold (or are on track to hold) a University degree by the programme start date. This can be a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field.

  • Decent knowledge of C++ programming, including familiarity with modern standards C++11 and C++14
  • Profound understanding of computer architecture (CPU expected, GPU is advantage)
  • Good English communication (both written and verbal)

Qualities that will help your application stand out:

  • Knowledge of computer graphics, scripting languages (e.g., Python) or modelling platforms (e.g., SystemC, gem5)

Additional Information:

We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis. Please provide an academic transcript as part of your application.

Please note that relocation support is available for this role for domestic moves within the country and regional moves within Europe. Visa sponsorship support is also available for candidates who require it.

In Return:

You’ll receive a starting salary of NOK 695,000 (Bachelor level) or NOK 715,000 (Master level), alongside a comprehensive rewards package. As you develop in role, you’ll have clear opportunities to progress within the salary range at Arm. With mid-year and year-end reviews, you’ll have two formal progression windows each year, recognising your growth.

You can also attend our “Grad-teach-Grads” workshops, guest speaker series, and social events to expand your knowledge. If you’d like to get more involved, you can join the Graduate Committee to further develop your planning, networking, and coordination skills.

You’ll be invited to our Global Graduate Conference (GGC) — an annual event where graduates hear from executive leaders, guest speakers, and build lasting connections.

With many of our leaders and technical specialists having originally joined as a Graduate, will you be next?
