Job Overview:
Did you know that the world of electronics verification is just as challenging and exciting as a massive multiplayer universe waiting to be explored?
Join Arm as a Verification Intern and help improve how complex system-on-chip (SoC) designs are verified. The internship offers hands-on experience with industry-leading technologies, guidance from experienced engineers, and the opportunity to develop a practical solution that improves verification efficiency across future projects.
What you could be doing as a Verification Intern:
Explore existing verification flows for CoreSight debug and trace features, then develop a reusable testbench framework that makes new SoC environments easier to configure, validate, and scale. Key responsibilities include:
- Review current SoC-level verification flow, focusing on debug and trace features built around the CoreSight architecture.
- Assess existing testbench and see opportunities to improve reuse, scalability, and bring-up for new SoC environments.
- Help to define architecture of a reusable testbench for SoC debug and trace verification.
- Develop a plug-and-play framework that simplifies the integration of memory-map elements and selected CoreSight components.
- Demonstrate the framework using one or more representative SoC-level use cases.
- Run simulations and evaluate improvements in setup time and debugging effort compared with the existing approach.
- Document the framework’s architecture, integration process, and reuse guidelines.
We are looking for individuals who:
Are currently enrolled and studying towards a Master Degree in Electronic or Microelectronic Engineering, Computer science or equivalent. Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience. Also:
- Knowledge of SoC- and IP-level verification fundamentals
- Familiarity with hardware description and verification languages, such as Verilog and SystemVerilog, and with the Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)
- Proficiency in software programming
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- Adept at acquiring new knowledge, highly motivated and driven by a strong work ethic
- Understanding of ARM architectures and Embedded Hardware Systems
- Fluent oral and written english
- Natural affinity / confidence with mathematics
Additional Information:
We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis.
Arm Internships require you to be enrolled in a higher education degree.
The internship duration is 6 months, starting in 2027.
French Law requires students to complete an internship agreement (Convention de Stage). This is a tripartite agreement signed by the student, their home university and host organization, that facilitates an internship in France. It is the contract defining all the essential points of the internship: duration, missions, remuneration and benefits, insurance in the event of an accident, etc.
It is preferable that Arm's own template of the agreement is used. Successful applicants will be required to provide contact details of the appropriate university representatives in order to have the agreement signed.
Please note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must have the right to work in the country where the internship is based, without relying on sponsorship by Arm, for the full duration of the internship
In Return:
Working on interesting new projects with leaders in the field is exciting, but we also know how important it is to receive support. That's why throughout your internship, you can expect regular feedback and development opportunities, social activities to connect with your peers, an end of internship celebration, plus the opportunity to be *considered for future Graduate positions (*subject to performance). #getreadytogrow
