Would you like to play a part in developing next-generation technology while working alongside some of the world’s best engineers?
We seek an enthusiastic engineer, to join a multicultural and diverse environment, interested in building strong relationships with various teams in multiple design centers!
Join our team as we specify, develop and maintain electronic design automation (EDA) workflows and tools for Arm engineering! We collaborate with hardware designers, verification engineers and benchmarking specialists to deliver tools that meet their needs.
Job Description:
You will build a unified, AI ready monitoring and visualisation system for our workflows execution to give Arm engineers a clearer view of the development works they have in progress.
You will help us make sure these tools run efficiently across compute environments, including AWS, GCP, Azure, on-premises LSF clusters and virtual machines. Together, we will help engineers identify inefficiencies and make better use of precious compute resources.
What you could be doing as a Software Engineering Intern:
Specify, develop, test and deliver a system that gives engineers a comprehensive overview of their running flows. Using in-house, open-source and proprietary solutions (Dynatrace, Databricks, open-telemetry) to provide visualisation dashboards and bridges for AI-augmented data extraction and analysis.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are currently enrolled and studying in the final year of a Master’s degree or equivalent, in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.
- Have experience using GNU/Linux and open-source software, or contributing to open-source projects.
- Possess experience with object-oriented programming in Python, Golang, Java or a similar language.
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- A practical, DIY approach: building your own systems or projects using Raspberry Pi, development boards, embedded software or game development.
- Curiosity about hardware and hardware IP development.
- Experience with cloud technologies, compute efficiency or running applications in Docker.
- Familiarity with services, microservices and API composition.
- Experience with workflow monitoring, data visualisation or tools such as Dynatrace, Databricks or OpenTelemetry or equivalent experience.
Additional Information:
We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis.
Arm Internships require you to be enrolled in a higher education degree.
The internship duration is 6 months, starting in 2027.
French Law requires students to complete an internship agreement (Convention de Stage). This is a tripartite agreement signed by the student, their home university and host organization, that facilitates an internship in France. It is the contract defining all the essential points of the internship: duration, missions, remuneration and benefits, insurance in the event of an accident, etc.
It is preferable that Arm's own template of the agreement is used. Successful applicants will be required to provide contact details of the appropriate university representatives in order to have the agreement signed.
Please note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must have the right to work in the country where the internship is based, without relying on sponsorship by Arm, for the full duration of the internship
In Return:
Working on interesting new projects with leaders in the field is exciting, but we also know how important it is to receive support. That's why throughout your internship, you can expect regular feedback and development opportunities, social activities to connect with your peers, an end of internship celebration, plus the opportunity to be *considered for future Graduate positions (*subject to performance). #getreadytogrow
