Arm is seeking skilled, experienced, and highly motivated Software engineers to join the Automotive and Industrial Solutions (AIS) team in our Software Engineering group. Responsibilities:
- Active involvement in the software design of reference software stacks for Arm’s Automotive platforms.
- Your day to day role will involve low level software development, test and debug on various platforms, including software models, development boards and shipping products.
- We want you to be able to analyse industry specs, roadmap requirements, breakdown tasks and help implement the project plans
- Working with open source projects, including upstreaming patches and maintaining as necessary.
- Address the challenges of bringing up new platforms.
- Improve the quality of software development with CI (Continuous Integration) systems.
Education & Qualifications
Good university degree (or equivalent experience), ideally in a numerate subject.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills with the ability to add significant new functionality, analyse and fix complex defects. Some knowledge of assembly and strong debugging skills are preferred.
- Expertise in application and low-level systems, with a strong understanding of system architecture (preferably ARM), OS fundamentals, bootloaders, and device drivers.
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and spoken English.
- Desire and ability to work as part of a team
- Passion for open-source development
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Experience in Automotive software development is highly desirable.
- Experience with open source projects such as Linux Kernel / AOSP, TF-A, TF-M, UEFI EDK II, U-Boot, Xen, Zephyr.
- Exposure to Automotive workloads, AI / ML software stacks, and tooling.
- Experience in Linux device driver development.
- Experience with Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices.
- We value familiarity with open-source project development cycles and contribution processes
