We work in small to medium-sized teams with most following modern Agile principles. Engineers share ideas and add to the ideas of others, document and present their work for discussion, and review and support the efforts of others, whilst sharing their findings impartially and authoritatively.

In your role, you will be introduced to the teams, our ways of working, be treated like any other engineer on the team and supported by experienced engineers.

What you could be doing as a Hardware Graduate:

  • Work on the specification and development of pre-silicon verification plans.
  • Training and development in the latest modern verification techniques
  • Perform workload characterization to identify power/performance bottlenecks and to propose solutions.
  • Creating enablement materials and proof-of-concepts for Arm’s partners.
  • Collaborating in small, agile teams where ideas are shared openly and engineers support one another’s development.

You’ll be supported by mentors and teammates who will help you learn, grow, and build your career at Arm.

We are looking for individuals who:

Are currently enrolled and studying towards a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering Degree (Bachelors, Masters or PhD students welcome). Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience.

Qualities that will help your application stand out:

  • Understanding of general-purpose CPU microarchitecture, including knowledge of areas such as processor pipelines, caches, and memory hierarchy.
  • Fundamental understanding of power and performance concepts as they apply to devices like networking IPs, CPUs, and caches.
  • Excellent programming skills including experience with C++, SystemVerilog, SystemC TLM, Java and/or Python.
  • Experience with Linux and source control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys and Mentor Graphics).
  • We are very keen to hire people with a desire for computer architecture and programming If you can supply links to any of your projects online, we will take the time to look through them.

Additional Information:

We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis. We aim to review all applications no later than two weeks after the closing date. In peak periods there may be exceptions beyond this timeframe. We will do our best to keep you informed.

Application Closing Date: November 16, 2025

Graduate Start Date September, 2026.

International Applicants:

We will ask you about whether you hold the right to work in the UK as part of your application, so that we can ensure we comply with UK government requirements. If we make you an offer and you do not have the right to work in the UK, we will sponsor you, provided that you meet the criteria for the UK Skilled Worker Visa. If you are not sure about your right to work in the UK, or need more information, please visit the UK Visa & Immigration Website.

In Return:

In addition to a competitive salary and comprehensive rewards package, you'll also receive the support, autonomy and opportunity to excel in your career. With a mid-year, and year-end review you'll have two windows each year to progress recognizing the pace at which you could grow. Attend our "Grad-teach-Grads" workshops, guest speaker series and various social events to expand your knowledge. Want to take this a step further?
