Responsibilities:

The team in Lund is responsible for machine learning hardware and software IP.


As a senior ML Compiler engineer, you will work/develop/design/architect new features and evaluate their performance. The features are mainly in the field of ML compiler development, SW optimization and test automation. As a senior engineer you are expected to be able to take lead on larger work-packages and to mentor more junior engineers. You will also be working closely with the ML HW team to ensure optimal code generation, efficient utilization of HW resources and provide input regarding microarchitectural development of next generation HW IP.


Required Skills and Experience :

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Machine learning, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or similar technical field.
  • Strong analytical skills, eagerness to find innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Like to work in an environment where you cooperate closely in a diverse team of colleagues, striving together to fulfil common targets.
  • Strong programming skills (C, C++, Python).
  • Knowledge of compiler optimisation and code generation techniques
  • Awareness of hardware architecture principles


“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Experience with compiler technology such as MLIR or LLVM
  • Understanding of internal compiler behaviours and representations
  • Source control skills (Git, Gerrit, Repo)
  • Worked and developed using methods like agile SW development, continuous integration and Test driven development.
  • Experience with Machine Learning applications and frameworks
  • Sound understanding of signal processing, control system.
