About the apprenticeship
Degree Apprenticeships provide a way to access higher education while gaining valuable experience in the workplace. The apprenticeship comprises of both paid work and study, allowing you to earn while working towards a BSc Honours degree, funded by Arm. Your on-the-job learning is supported by a dedicated mentor at Arm and academic support from the University. Together, we will work with the latest Arm technology on a variety of exciting projects.
Our apprenticeship program is crafted to meet the Digital Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship Standards and is expected to take three years to complete. Completion of the program will be dependent upon passing an external assessment at the end of your program.

Apprenticeship positions are available across our Software Engineering group in Cambridge, Manchester and Sheffield –please specify your location preference on your application.
To be eligible you will need:
- A valid passport/birth certificate and NI number
- To have lived in the UK and/or EEA for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date
- To be willing to working in England for at least 50% of working time
- Not be undertaking another apprenticeship or government funded qualification at the same time
Prior learning requirements:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications)
and any of the below:
- Level 3 Software Apprenticeship
- A Level or Level 3 qualification in a STEM subject
- BTEC Extended Diploma (180 credits)
- International Baccalaureate at Level 3
- 2 years’ experience in a relevant role
