Job Description
As a Central Technology engineer you will conduct technical explorations, feasibility studies and evaluations of both existing technologies and new ideas for mitigating the effects of faults on CPUs. Promising features or methodologies will be used by forthcoming CPU projects. You will describe the results of your investigations and collaborate proactively with the CPU design teams as they implement new technologies to keep our products best-in-class.
Required Skills and Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, or other related field.
- Good technical understanding of CPUs and their role within SoCs or MCUs.
- Demonstrated capability for innovative exploratory investigations and feasibility assessments.
- Ability to work efficiently alone as well as in a team environment.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience
- Strong analytical skills capable of gathering and digesting information from diverse sources.
- Knowledge of hardware safety principles such as fault tolerance, failure modes, and redundancy techniques for detecting errors.
- Familiarity with hardware design techniques and processes, including for safety or RAS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at presenting technical findings and influencing engineering decisions.
- Experience with hardware description languages (Verilog/SystemVerilog) and related verification methodologies.
- You enjoy working with early-stage technologies, solving problems and have a passion for discovering innovative technical solutions.
