As part of our growth, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Security Verification Engineer to join our CPU Cambridge team. You’ll collaborate with colleagues around the world on next-generation CPU IP products, helping ensure they meet the highest standards of security and reliability.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with security architects, leads, and verification engineers to identify and analyze potential vulnerabilities in Arm’s CPU IP.
- Plan and implement security verification activities across the product lifecycle, using techniques such as static and dynamic analysis, fuzzing, and side-channel testing.
- Design targeted tests based on threat models, design reviews, and risk assessments.
- Apply advanced verification methods including tainted-data tracking and symbolic execution to uncover dataflow and integrity issues.
- Use industry-leading tools for formal analysis, vulnerability discovery, penetration testing, and automated verification.
- Develop and maintain reusable verification infrastructure at both IP and system levels.
- Work with product managers and project/security leads to align on security goals, project milestones, and deliverables.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Hold a university or Engineering School degree. This can be a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronic / Electrical Engineering or Physics. Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience.
- Background in hardware/software development and verification (System-Verilog, UVM, C/C++, Python).
- Hands-on experience with security verification methods such as fuzzing, static analysis, formal verification, or symbolic execution.
- Experience in threat modelling, vulnerability analysis and secure architecture reviews.
- Understanding of dataflow analysis, tainted-data tracking or side-channel mitigation techniques.
- Strong communication, technical writing and collaboration skills.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Experience with Secure Boot, hardware roots of trust, cryptographic primitives, and secure communication protocols.
- Knowledge of secure development lifecycle (SDL) processes and tooling.
- Contribution to open-source security tools or frameworks.
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks, particularly ISO/SAE 21434, NIST SP 800-53, or ISO 27001.
