Job Description
Our automotive software team is looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer for the productization stream. You will be focusing on CICD of our automotive reference software stack for our next generation compute subsystems in the context of software-defined vehicles enabled with artificial intelligence (AI). You will lead technical initiatives across engineering domains and work closely with our software leads, architects as well as program and project management to deliver robust, optimized systems that shows the outstanding capabilities of our platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will architect and evolve scalable CI/CD and software productization infrastructure for firmware, drivers, and low-level system software. The role drives build, integration, automated testing, packaging, and release automation to enable reliable and efficient software delivery. A key responsibility is enabling continuous delivery by ensuring pipelines remain stable, available, and release-ready at all times. This includes improving pipeline observability, proactively identifying failures, driving rapid recovery, and continuously improving delivery efficiency and developer productivity. The role also involves building automation and test infrastructure, solving hardware-software integration challenges, and providing technical leadership across firmware, system, integration, validation, and infrastructure teams. Responsibilities include developing and reviewing high-quality Python and Bash code, while taking end-to-end ownership from architecture and implementation through deployment and sustained operation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 12+ years of experience in SoC/embedded software development and CI/CD across the semiconductor development lifecycle.
- Strong hands-on experience in system firmware development, with proficiency in Embedded C and Python and/or Bash. Solid understanding of Linux, Arm architectures, open-source software development, versioning, licensing, SDL, and software delivery, complemented by strong system-level debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
- Good experience in architecting and maintaining scalable CI/CD infrastructure for large, multi-component repository structures, build systems, dependency management, variant management, automated testing, packaging, and release automation.
- Proven experience enabling continuous software delivery, with a strong focus on pipeline availability, stability, automation, observability, rapid failure recovery, and release readiness!
- Strong end-to-end technical leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across teams and drive continuous improvement.
Desirable Skills & Qualities
- Experience with embedded software ecosystems and technologies such as Zephyr, Yocto, Bazel, Copybara, Git, Jenkins, Repo-structures, test automation framework, DevOps, C++, or Rust.
- Familiarity with system software and open-source projects such as TF-A, TF-M, U-Boot, Xen, ROS etc!
- Experience working in automotive, robotics, functional safety, embedded security, or other sophisticated SoC/system domains.
- Experience in leading team in CICD is an added advantage.
