We are looking for highly-skilled engineers with experience in operating systems like Linux/RTOS to take ownership of booting Linux & brining up drivers on Emulation & FPGA platforms for the pre-silicon validation of next-generation compute solutions. You will work closely with architecture, design, verification, and software teams to bring up operating systems on SoCs & Compute Subsystems, and run applications on it.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the SoC/subsystem architecture and take ownership of booting operating systems like Linux, RTOS, or Android to validate SoCs containing multi-core processors and high-speed IOs like PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, USB, etc.
- Collaborate with SoC architecture and design teams to build the right test plans, modify device drivers, & develop tests to validate the design.
- You will be expected to debug & fix sophisticated hardware and software fails on the SoC on Emulation/FPGA platforms and on silicon
- Port or develop Linux drivers for different blocks in the chiplet, and make improvements wherever required for pre-silicon validation of the design.
- Identify and port open-source benchmarks and applications on Linux, targeting domain-specific use-cases, and build additional tests where required to ensure bugs are found early in the cycle.
- Mentor junior engineers and work as a team to deliver on validation goals.
