Based in our Bengaluru office on a 16x5 shift pattern with on-call support on a rota basis.
The role focuses on specialist operational support for SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM), including complex incident resolution, problem management, system stability, and continuous improvement.
You will also contribute to DevOps activities, enhancements, testing, releases, and project delivery, working closely with business, functional, and technical teams.
You should have a B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 7 years of overall experience and strong hands-on SAP PP/QM functional and configuration expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the business to understand manufacturing and quality-management requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Perform requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, documentation, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Configure and support SAP PP and QM processes in an SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Find opportunities to simplify and standardize business processes using SAP standard functionality.
- Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows.
- Work closely with ABAP, integration, security, data, and other functional teams.
- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex production and quality-related issues.
- Prepare test scenarios and support SIT, UAT, regression testing, cutover, and launch activities.
- Support master-data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Provide functional guidance and knowledge transfer to business users and support teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
- The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in PP process like MRP Live, Demand Management, MTO/MTS process, Production order life cycle, Capacity planning and QM Process like Quality planning, Quality inspection, result recording, defect management etc
- Detailed understanding of PP and QM master data BOM, Routings, Work Centres, Production Versions, MIC, Inspection plan and Batch-managed manufacturing processes.
- Integration of PP/QM with MM, SD, EWM/WM, and Product Costing.
- Experience working with interfaces between SAP and external manufacturing, quality, MES, or planning systems.
- Understanding of Fiori applications related to production planning, manufacturing execution, and quality management.
- Track record of end user operational support, Incident, Request, Change and Problem Management aligned with ITIL.
- Participate in Major Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis and continuous activities to keep platform reliable and reduce recurring issues.
- Maintain operational documentation and work closely with internal teams and external vendors to resolve sophisticated issues.
"Nice to Have" Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of PP/DS or Advanced Planning.
- Knowledge of MES/LIMS integration.
- Understanding of Product Costing and production-order costing.
- Experienced with development practices such as Waterfall, Agile.
- Experienced working in a global, diverse and multicultural environment.
- Exposure to manufacturing industries such as semiconductor, electronics, automotive, engineering, or high-tech manufacturing!
