We are looking for our next Information Developer to join Arm and help craft the future of technology, working with a diverse group of experts who bring a rich mix of technical and creative expertise.
Job Overview:
As an Information Developer in the Technical Communications team, you will develop customer-facing content in collaboration with Arm’s engineering and marketing teams, handling E2E projects. You will also be a member of a global community of information developers working together to create content to help Arm's customers succeed.
You will also significantly contribute to influencing 95% of the world’s connected devices and all their applications in Healthcare, Infrastructure, Smart Homes, and other areas across a variety of industries, to provide our partners with the content they need to make the most of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, build, and maintain user-centric technical documentation content.
- Improving the clarity and consistency of content targeted for a global audience.
- Planning documentation against the product roadmap ensuring documentation quality and to meet customer demand.
- Creating and maintaining content for multiple projects, without supervision.
- Identifying user needs as a customer advocate to generate content that helps our customers and partners achieve their goals.
- Collaborating extensively with domain experts in engineering, project/product management, marketing, support, and other teams to identify and address information gaps.
- Looking for opportunities to improve efficiency with tooling, process, and content auto-generation.
- Collaborating with your team to implement the best processes and practices for the technical content you produce.
Work with other Tech Comms colleagues and the wider Arm community to improve what our team does and how we work.

- Expert Information Developer/Technical Writer.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Some exposure to one or more of: structured content authoring, DITA, Markdown, Git.
- Knowledge of a graphics tool, such as EdrawMax or Visio.
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in a related area. For example: Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, Maths, or English.
We use multiple authoring tools and toolchains with an evolving shift-left approach, auto generating content from Engineering source. Some exposure to one or more of the following would be an advantage:
- Markdown
- Jenkins
- DITA
- JSON or YAML
- Python
Being familiar with electronics is an advantage because of the domain in which Arm works. Understanding computer architecture and how hardware and software interacts is a good start.
