Job Overview:
Arm is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the planning, deployment, and maintenance of our R&D high-performance computing labs. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our infrastructure supporting advanced AI and HPC workloads.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead teams running compute, storage, and lab infrastructure-overseeing design, deployment, and operational readiness of systems in complex, high-scale environments.
- Lab Operations & Infrastructure Implementation: Direct physical and logical implementation of infrastructure, including racking systems, power distribution, network design, equipment configuration, and integration of new technologies.
- Scalability & Capacity Planning: Continuously scale and optimize lab space, capacity, and capability to meet evolving R&D and AI/HPC project requirements.
- Project Deployment & Execution: Be responsible for "in-service" deployment efforts, including hardware validation, connectivity testing, infrastructure integration, and equipment lifecycle management.
- System Availability & Monitoring: Ensure high system availability and performance across lab environments using best-in-class system management and monitoring tools.
- Process & Compliance: Maintain rigorous documentation of processes, drive operational standardization, and support compliance with industry frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2).
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functonal teams to align infrastructure delivery with technical and programmatic goals.
- Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Lead resolution of system faults and anomalies, perform infrastructure validations, and implement improvements through structured feedback loops.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead initiatives to optimize workflows, improve capacity utilization, and future-proof lab infrastructure for emerging technologies.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven record leading complex systems or infrastructure teams in HPC, AI, or lab environments.
- Deep technical knowledge of Linux systems, compute/storage architecture, and infrastructure deployment practices.
- Experience in physical infrastructure deployment including racking, cabling, network integration, and power systems.
- Expertise in monitoring platforms, observability tools, and infrastructure automation.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with a strong customer focus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to collaborate effectively across multi-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 25% travel).
- Comfortable with fast paced environment that is rapidly developing and changing.

- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.

Salary Range:
