Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Engineering Platform Access team, responsible for building and supporting a secure, scalable Linux VDI environment using Rocket Software’s Exceed TurboX. This platform enables global engineering teams with reliable access to high-performance compute environments essential for developing next-generation products. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in automation, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Linux systems administration, and networking skills. You will play a critical role in designing, automating, and managing access infrastructure to ensure performance, security, and availability at scale in a hybrid-cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on the implementation, maintenance, and optimizations to continuously improve our Rocket Exceed TurboX - Remote Desktop Software systems and provide an outstanding colleague experience.
  • Design, implement, and manage infrastructure automation modules using Terraform, Python, Ansible, and bash/shell scripting.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Ansible for seamless code integration and deployment.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring and observability frameworks to track system performance and health.
  • Collaborate with wider teams to support and improve cloud-based applications and services.

Requirements:

  • Experience inworking with Linux VDI solutions such as OpenText (Rocket) Exceed TurboX, Citrix, etc. and familiarity with display streaming protocols such as ThinX, HDX, PCoIP, etc.
  • Experience in manging a large distributed Linux systems environment deployed across multiple regions.
  • Solid experience with Terraform and Vault for infrastructure automation and secrets management, with integration across hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Familiar with building automated pipelines using serverless services like AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, and Azure Functions.
  • Proficiency in GitLab for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, combined with hands-on experience in automating application configuration and deployment using Ansible, Python, and Linux scripting
  • Experience in extending application functionality using REST API (integrations with external systems or scripting interactions).
  • Skilled in implementing monitoring and observability tools for system oversight.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Certifications in AWS, GCP, Azure, and Kubernetes are highly valued.
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure deployments and support in a multi-cloud environment.

Salary Range:

$130,300-$176,300 per year
