We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rack and Blade Level Validation Manager to lead the end-to-end validation of next-generation server rack platforms. This critical leadership role will drive the development and execution of comprehensive validation infrastructure, software tools and test plans for validating full system solutions, including high-speed interconnects, key features, and reliability aspects across firmware, software, and hardware layers. The successful candidate will also lead all aspects of the development and deployment of approved stress applications used in power and thermal validation, and manage system-level testing engagements with ODM partners to ensure overall robustness and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Validation Strategy and Infrastructure
· Define and lead the creation of a scalable and extensible validation framework for rack and blade level server platforms.
· Establish automated infrastructure to validate all major system components including firmware, OS integration, hardware validation and application-level interactions.
· Ensure comprehensive coverage of high-speed links (GPUs, PCIe, Ethernet, etc.), memory subsystems, storage, and other critical platform elements.
Stress and Robustness Testing
· Drive the development of sanctioned applications and synthetic workloads that stress system capabilities to their limits for power consumption, thermal performance, and fault tolerance.
· Integrate these stress tools into continuous validation pipelines and field testing protocols.
· Define and track key system metrics to assess robustness under various environmental and usage scenarios.
System-Level Testing and ODM Collaboration
· Coordinate system-level test plans and execution in collaboration with Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) partners.
· Ensure ODM testing meets quality standards, regulatory compliance, and is aligned with internal validation requirements.
· Serve as the primary technical customer concern point for system issues discovered at ODM sites and coordinate multi-functional debug efforts.
Team Leadership and multi-functional Alignment
· Build and manage a team of validation engineers and test developers.
· Foster collaboration between hardware, firmware, software, and system architects to close validation gaps.
· Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve system testability and validation efficiency.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
· 10+ years of experience in systems validation, or systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
· Deep understanding of server architecture, firmware/software stacks, and system interconnects.
· Strong knowledge of validation methodologies including automated test frameworks, performance analysis, fault injection, and environmental testing.
· Experience managing cross-site teams and working with ODMs or hardware manufacturing partners.
· Experience with testing Rack management, including orchestration, power and thermal monitoring, firmware management, and system telemetry.
· Hands-on experience validating GPU-based training systems, including system-level stress, power and thermal characterization, interconnect testing (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet), and performance benchmarking for AI/ML workloads.
· Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (Python, Bash, Jenkins, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with hyperscale server deployments or data center infrastructure.
· Familiarity with industry standards and protocols such as PCIe Gen5+, CXL, NVMe, Redfish, and IPMI.
· Prior work with ARM-based platforms or heterogeneous computing environments.
· Strong leadership, communication, and program management skills.
