Job Overview:
Arm is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support global partners designing complex compute SoCs and server-class hardware platforms using Arm silicon solutions.
This customer-facing role sits within Arm’s Partner Enablement organization and works closely with internal Solutions Engineering, Quality, Silicon Validation, and System Test teams across Asia-Pac India, the US, and the UK.
The role serves as the primary technical interface for customers consuming Arm SoCs, and hardware boards.
You will help customers de-risk development, accelerate time-to-market, and extract maximum value from Arm solutions through hands-on technical support, system-level debug, and knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical liaison for customers throughout the full SoC and board development lifecycle.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and debugging support at SoC, package, and board levels.
- Support customer bring-up, validation, and issue resolution across silicon, package, and system domains.
- Collaborate closely with Arm internal teams (Silicon Validation, System Test, R&D, QA, Project teams) delivering Arm’s silicon roadmap.
- Track customer projects and technical issues to closure with clear documentation, communication, and escalation management.
- Capture and recycle internal silicon program insights into customer-facing collateral including training materials, application notes, and white papers.
- Deliver customer education through technical reviews, workshops, and training sessions.
- Contribute to building new Partner Enablement capabilities in emerging technologies including advanced packaging and multi-die systems.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- +5 years proven experience in the semiconductor or microelectronics industry.
- Strong system-level Signal Integrity (SI) expertise, with focus on high-speed interfaces and their impact on system design.
- Hands-on experience with SI/PI analysis tools. (Ansys, Cadence, etc.)
- Deep understanding of multi-port network parameters. (S, Y, Z matrices)
- Knowledge of electromagnetic extraction methodologies and limitations.
- Ability to interpret and modify IC package drawings and collaborate effectively with package and design engineers.
- Experience developing pre-layout SI/PI design guidelines.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Understanding of SoC models and abstractions. (IBIS, power models, PDN-impedance profiles.)
- System-Level Power-Integrity experience, including package-level PI trade-offs.
- Experience across the full IC package design flow from ball map definition to tape-out.
- Knowledge of advanced packaging technologies. (2.5D, 3D, multi-die.)
- Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting. (Python, Skill, etc.)
- Experience in Field Applications Engineering (FAE), Systems Engineering, Design Services, or Technical Program Management.
- Board-level hardware design, bring-up, and validation experience.
- Documented silicon tape-out and real-world silicon debug experience.
