Director, Smartphone Strategy and Go To Market

Job Overview:

Are you a strategic and goal-oriented individual ? We are looking for a Segment Strategy & Go-To-Market Director to take a lead on growth initiatives for the Smartphone segment.

This is a high-impact role that blends market strategy, go-to-market leadership and cross-functional alignment to unlock new opportunities, drive product adoption and accelerate revenue growth.

In this role, you'll be working in partnership with some of the world's biggest handset OEMs and silicon manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

Segment Strategy & Market Development

  • Define and drive strategies for the China Smartphone Market segment, including opportunity sizing, customer segmentation, and competitive positioning.
  • Identify key growth levers across the region, customers and emerging use cases.
  • Translate market insights and customer needs into actionable business plans.
  • Ensure alignment across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Exec teams.

Go-To-Market Leadership

  • Build and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches, features, and strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with regional and local teams to grow strategic relationships and co-develop segment-specific initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Revenue Operations to build high-impact GTM actions.
  • Ensure alignment of messaging, targeting, and campaigns.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • 8+ years of  experience in segment strategy, product marketing, business development, or GTM roles—preferably in a smartphone OEM or smartphone chipset manufacturer
  • Deep understanding of the global smartphone market, including key players, trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Presenting to C-level execs in potential customers
  • Working with AI in the smartphone space and or China ecosystem
  • Team leading experience
