AIDP is at the heart of Arm’s software strategy. We bring together AI, developer experience, software enablement, tools, open source, technical content and ecosystem engagement to help developers build, optimise and deploy software on Arm-based technologies.
This is a leadership role for someone who can shape how a global organisation plans, prioritises and delivers complex work. You will define and evolve the operating model across AIDP, creating the planning frameworks, execution practices, risk management approaches and leadership visibility needed to deliver with transparency, pace and accountability.
We are looking for a delivery leader who can align teams, resolve trade-offs and connect execution to meaningful business, customer and developer outcomes!
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Project Management team across AIDP, setting standards for planning, governance, delivery, risk management and portfolio visibility.
- Develop a distributed team of Project Managers, building capability, consistency and career growth across the function.
- Own the portfolio delivery rhythm, including quarterly planning, portfolio reviews, execution reviews, decision tracking and leadership reporting.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear technical delivery plans, dependencies, decision points and measurable outcomes across software and engineering initiatives.
- Partner with engineering, product, UX, ecosystem, business, marketing and legal leaders to align priorities, resolve technical and business trade-offs and drive critical initiatives.
- Identify systemic delivery challenges and implement improvements that increase organisational effectiveness, predictability and pace.
- Ensure appropriate oversight for Arm processes, audit readiness and ISO requirements while keeping delivery practices pragmatic.
- Use data, automation and portfolio insight to improve decision-making and leadership visibility.
- Represent delivery status, risks and recommendations in senior leadership forums.
Core Skills and Experience:
- Significant experience leading cross-functional technical programs, portfolios or delivery organisations in software, platform, AI, developer tooling or related technology environments.
- Proven ability to build, lead and develop project, program or delivery management teams across distributed organisations.
- Track record of defining operating models, delivery frameworks, governance practices and execution standards that scale across teams.
- Strong ability to influence senior collaborators, drive decisions and build alignment in ambiguous environments with competing priorities.
- Strong systems thinking, with capacity to connect strategy, planning, dependencies, risks, resources and outcomes across a complex organisation.
- Clear communication and leadership skills, including the ability to present progress, trade-offs, potential issues, and proposed solutions to senior leadership.
- Experience using metrics, delivery data, technical signals, and operational insight to improve execution quality, leadership visibility and decision-making.
- Technical fluency to engage with engineering teams, assess architecture and delivery implications, challenge assumptions and connect project risks to product or business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI and automation to improve project team effectiveness, including planning, prioritisation, risk management, dependency tracking, reporting, workflow design and portfolio insight.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with AI, developer tools, software infrastructure, open source software or technical ecosystems.
- Experience leading delivery across globally distributed teams and organisations.
- Familiarity with portfolio planning, resource management, investment prioritisation and organisational operating models.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, dashboards or similar project and portfolio management tools.
- Experience improving delivery efficiency through automation, tooling, workflow redesign or AI-enabled project management practices.
In Return:
Join Arm and contribute to shaping how one of the company’s strategic software organisations drives impact across the ecosystem and business.
