Role Overview:
Arm is looking for a Principal Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to support and lead customer engagements covering Arm IPs with an emphasis on SoC-level and Compute Subsystem architecture.
This role represents a senior technical position within the FAE team under the North America Sales organization, working closely with strategic partners as well as emerging customers to enable successful SoC designs while influencing Arm’s product direction through technical insight and customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior technical advisor for the silicon partners
- Support customer’s SoC design using Arm CPU, Mali GPU/ISP, Ethos NPU, CoreLink NoC/Mesh, CoreSight Debug/Trace, and System IPs
- Provide guidance on IP selection, configuration, and system-level integration
- Support Arm Compute Subsystems (CSS) and platform-based design approaches
- Lead technical discussions spanning power, performance, scalability, and system architecture
- Resolve cross-IP technical sophisticated issues in collaboration with product teams
- Partner with Sales, Product Marketing, Support, and Engineering to lead the design wins
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in SoC design, semiconductor IP, EDA tools, or customer-facing technical roles
- Proven understanding of CPU, GPU, NPU, and System IP at a system integration level
- Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
- Ability to operate independently in a senior technical leadership role
- System-level knowledge of memory hierarchy, cache coherency, and multi-IP SoC design
- Prior Field Applications Engineering, or Technical Sales experience
Salary Range:
