Job Overview:
Solution Engineering is seeking experienced technical leads in supporting specific design functions. You will lead technical operations, define design infrastructure, process, and policy that will achieve maximum operational efficiency!
In this pivotal role, you'll be the driving force behind the physical design implementation phase of the SOC development lifecycle. You'll use your extensive expertise of the physical design methodologies and program management expertise to lead a cross-functional team of engineers. Your leadership will ensure the successful and timely execution of the physical design, forming the foundation for a high-performance and manufacturable SOC!
Responsibilities:
- Develop, define, and implement the comprehensive technical program plan for the physical design implementation of the SOC. This includes setting schedules, budgets, resource allocation, defining deliverables, and leading the development of robust risk mitigation strategies.
- Support the development of the design implementation methodology, DFTCAD, and PDCAD flows. Drive Design initiatives across all sites to improve program efficiency and effectiveness per OKSRs.
- Provide functional support to the implementation team. Manage resources plan, recruiting and onboarding. Hold functional reviews and align priority. Develop and drive operational KPI improvements including compute and CAD license outage.
- Provide ongoing technical mentorship and leadership throughout the physical design implementation phase. Keep abreast of the latest advancements in physical design tools, methodologies, and processes, ensuring the program uses innovative solutions to push the boundaries of power, performance, area, testability and manufacturability.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 8+ years in technical program management related to SOC implementation with a proven track record of managing large SOCs with a size of over 400M instances to an on-time tapeout.
- In-depth knowledge of physical design methodologies, tools, and flows (place & route, clock tree synthesis, power planning, etc.).
“Nice To Have” Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience in physical design implementation of SoCs is highly desired.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams.

Salary Range:
