Job Description

Accelerating AI on Arm servers for everyone!

The world's AI compute needs are exploding and Arm is growing rapidly in the cloud. We work at the intersection of the two, contributing to open source AI Frameworks, where the impact is global and open to all.

You will contribute directly to open source libraries, accelerating AI software to utilise the full potential of Arm's line of Neoverse™ cores. Together with compiler and library teams from Arm, the open source community and our partners you will be enabling AI for the worlds most pervasive architecture.

We work on the full stack, from the high-level user interfaces to graph compilers and assembly, we encourage everyone in the team to get involved in all parts. We have a wide remit, but we are all aligned on a common goal, so we trust team members with autonomy to find and tackle problems their way, with support and idea sharing when needed. No silos, flat hierarchy and individual autonomy.

You will join a diverse, dedicated and inclusive group from all over the world based in Arm's stylish offices in the vibrant city of Manchester.

What are we looking for?

You definitely don't need all of these things to succeed! The only requirement is that you are interested and motivated to learn, we will support your growth.

  • Strong software engineering and programming skills, preferably C++ and Python.
  • Ability to quickly investigate and debug large software frameworks.
  • A data led optimisation mentality.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, oneDNN etc.
  • Machine learning, artificial intelligence or data science knowledge.
  • Experience in scientific or numerical computing.
  • Good interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
  • Understanding of parallel programming.
  • Experience with assembly, particularly Arm SIMD (Neon™, SVE, SME etc.).
  • Open source community citizenship.
  • Development experience in a Linux environment.
  • A degree in a computational or numerate subject, or equivalent experience.

In return

You will receive highly competitive reward with generous stock awards. We also know that people do their best work when they feel rested and psychologically safe. So we have a progressive leave policy including generous parental leave, days of care and 4 weeks of sabbatical every 4 years. We are flexible on working hours, and allow hybrid working. We strive to provide an open and accepting environment where you are encouraged to share your ideas and opinions; which enables collective innovation and creativity, and supports your professional and personal growth.
