Role responsibilities

  • Collaborating with finance partners and across Arm to ensure accurate application of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Workload and responsibilities are shared with our in-house Technical Accountant and external advisers. Shared-responsibility for accounting conclusions and policies being practically implemented through a comprehensive process of enquiry, corroboration, analysis, recommendation, and documentation.
  • Presenting technical accounting issues and concluding in written technical papers for the Senior Director of Corporate Reporting and CAO.
  • Coordinating external audit, managing Auditor queries in technical areas and judgements.
  • Maintain internal accounting policies to ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS and shareholder requirements. Deliver support, training and knowledge-sharing on accounting topics to finance and non-finance colleagues throughout the business.
  • Significant opportunities to assist on projects and strategic decision-making as a representative for Finance.

Required Qualifications & Experience

CPA, ACA or equivalent. PCAOB audit experience as an auditor. Experience writing technical memos in a company role for PCAOB auditors.

Deep technical knowledge and experience of IFRS and US GAAP as well as their differences. An ability to research and interpret accounting guidance in judgemental scenarios. Able to consider technical accounting topics with a strategic, forward-looking approach to risks and opportunities.

Experience in investments and M&A accounting. Prior involvement in disclosures for SEC financial reporting of 6-Ks/20-Fs.

Phenomenal communication style to articulate complicated technical matters to non-finance individuals. Dynamic, curious, confident, and have a friendly manner but able to challenge others skilfully. Capable of moving at pace to drive progress with collaborators to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery.
