This is an excellent opportunity to join Arm's Partner Enablement group! Applications Engineering is a multifaceted and wide-ranging role that combines deep technical expertise with outstanding interpersonal skills. We help Arm's partners build real world applications based on Arm technology. Our partners scale from big semiconductor houses to small start-ups, and all of them are building new exiting products. This role gives the possibility to be on the forefront of technological evolution and accelerate innovation.

Job Overview:

This role focuses on supporting our Computer Vision and Machine Learning software solutions deployed by OEMs, ODMs, and ecosystem partners for Edge and Physical AI applications.

You will contribute directly at a technical level to customer and partner enablement, working closely with engineering teams and other technical experts to ensure successful adoption and deployment of Arm technologies. You will join a highly skilled team, working directly with customers and partners to provide technical support, training, documentation, and enablement throughout their development journey.

There is significant potential for technical innovation and career development as new technologies and Arm ambitions emerge.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to partners on firmware, software, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision related issues on Arm-based systems.
  • Work closely with hardware, ML, and applications engineering peers, as well as cross-functional teams across Engineering, the Business Unit landing team, and Product Management.
  • Investigate and reproduce complex customer issues, working with engineering teams to identify root causes and drive resolution.
  • Deliver customer training sessions, workshops, and technical presentations.
  • Provide technical support during major customer project milestones, including platform bring-up and integration activities.
  • Share technical expertise and mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Travel occasionally to Arm sites and partner locations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years in firmware/software development
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Deep understanding of SoC architecture
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and Computer Vision software stacks
  • Experience debugging from firmware to OS/application layers
  • Knowledge of the workings of Rich OS such as Linux from application layer to driver development
  • Solid grasp of Arm processor architecture
  • Ability to collaborate and provide technical leadership across geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, or inference runtimes.
  • System bring-up and JTAG debugging expertise
  • Good background of system performance analysis
  • Experience with RTL simulation tools and software development tools
