As part of our continued growth, we are looking to hire a Senior Safety & Security Engineer. Based in our office in Cambridge, you will be working on next generation IP products in close collaboration with colleagues at our offices around the world.
You will join an expert and motivated team responsible for developing the next generation of Automotive IP products. This role coordinates functional safety and security activities within a project, developing the safety context, leading safety and security activities, and fostering safety culture while adhering to established methodologies. You will be responsible to act as liaison for the project to product management, quality management and assessors.
With the growth of the Automotive sector and other product segments where functional safety and security is a key requirement, we are leading the way in developing cores that can address these applications.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate functional safety and security activities within the project
- Develop and maintain functional safety and security work products adhering to established methodologies
- Develop and deploy continual improvement initiatives to ensure functional safety and security practices are effective and efficient.
- Support safety and security analysis within the team and develop associated work products such as FMEA, FMEDA, DFA and Threat Modelling.
- Foster safety and security culture with the team as well as alignment, collaboration, and cross organizational communication.
- Review and provide feedback on documentation to ensure its correctness and completeness before external publication
- Work with the product manager on establishing functional safety requirements for the product
- Assist project manager on activity planning, resource estimation and training
- Facilitate accurate completion of functional safety and security work products and associated reviews
- Act as a technical liaison between the engineering team and assessors during functional safety and security assessment
Required Skills and Experience :
- Experience working on functional safety or security-related development projects applying industry recognized standards, e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 21434, IEC 61508
- Experienced with application of Safety Analysis and/or Security Analysis methodologies using industry-standard tools: FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, SPFM/LFM, PMHF and Threat Modelling
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with hardware design and development, HDL languages, i.e. Verilog, VHDL and programming languages, i.e. C, Perl, Python
- We seek enthusiasm and flexibility; you are hardworking with a real passion for Safety and Security
Education
- BS in Electrical or Computer engineering or equivalent
- MS in Electrical or Computer engineering
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Exposure to projects developing safety critical automotive products and solutions
- Experience with authoring and reviewing technical documentation
