Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Senior Internal Application Engineer to join a +20 folks' team and support ARM engineers for multiple hardware pre-silicon verification and performance workflows. You will become the first interface between the team, the partners (ARM engineers), internal tool providers, cloud and EDA vendors.

Working in Cambridge or Sophia-Antipolis office, you will be assigned to work with folks located within the Europe region folks, also supporting other sites in US or India too. Our team is spread across UK, Europe, and US. Given the span of the team and partners locations, you may have travel opportunities to work at partners' sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation and Maintenance of Documentation, User Guide and Training Material
  • Delivery of Training to partners. The best you train them the less support follows
  • Support partners in migrating their testbenches to our flow or transitioning them to another simulator or internal tools or cloud vendor.
  • Being one of the primary technical interfaces between partners and vendors
  • Fixing all simple bugs on the production branch and provide recommendations to the development team as required.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Hands-on experience as field application engineer or customer support role
  • A deep understanding of methodologies and flows applied to functional hardware verification of innovative IPs and subsystems.
  • Experience of “scaled-out” deployment of technology across a global organisation
  • Experience of supporting workflows
  • Experience of collaborating with EDA vendors
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, UNIX shell scripting) – being able to develop scripting to support new flows.
  • knowledge of the 3 EDA simulators with at least a proficiency for one and an understanding of the 2 others.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Proficiency in Formal verification
  • Exposure to the complete software development process including the use of configuration management (git/gerrit)
  • Knowledge of Docker containers
  • Eagerness to travel to other ARM sites globally
