This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with a hardware semiconductor engineering background that has a proven track record in leadership across all aspects of the engineering development lifecycle. This is a leadership role working with a multi-disciplined team developing Generic Interrupt Controller (GIC) system IP for high-end mobile, enterprise, and automotive markets. The GIC is a key component of the Arm Architecture that provides critical and complex functionalities that enable systems design with Arm processors and Multimedia IP!

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the IP team from ensuring clear requirements generation through to successful high quality product deliveries.
  • All planning activities including detailed scope definition, milestone identification, and timeline generation.
  • Risk Identification ensuring appropriate mitigation factored into the delivery schedule.
  • Support for continuous improvement with regular Lessons Learned sessions.
  • Alignment to Arm design and verification strategies working with technical and verification assessors to ensure quality consistency and excellence.
  • Proactive stakeholder communication/reporting.
  • Dependency identification and tracking, ongoing alignment with related teams.
  • Effective Change Management in a dynamic environment.
  • Key performance indicator monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • First-class communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of driving projects in a constantly evolving development environment
  • Demonstrated ability in building plans from a high level to a detailed schedule
  • Determine how best to deal with uncertainty and ability to generate effective metrics for tracking
  • Clear understanding of, and ability to apply, the concepts of risk management
  • Ability to lead team members through personal leadership and clear project goals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with highly skilled engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Influence decisions and adapt plans to changes in the project scope, schedule, and cost

‘Nice to Have’ Skills & Experience:

  • Pro-active and pragmatic with regards to problem-solving
  • Experience collaborating closely with customers, partners, and remote development teams
  • Formal project management qualification (e.g., PMP, Prince2)
  • Familiar with tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Jira, Confluence,
  • Familiar with configuration methods, versioning, and documentation tools
  • Understanding of a range of hardware and software development lifecycle methods (e.g., waterfall, iterative, agile)
  • Self-motivated, looking to accept new challenges
  • Professional, with strong attention to detail

Education & Qualifications

A university degree (or equivalent) in either Engineering or Computer Science is desired, although other degrees would be considered if there is relevant experience.
