Are you well organised, with an eye to detail and able to communicate well to both technical and non-technical people?

If so, then you could be just right for our Project Manager role in the Architecture & Technology Group (ATG) within Arm. Effective project management is central to successful delivery within Arm, and we look forward to welcoming a new member to our team.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with Architects, Product Managers, and engineering teams, the Project Manager will be leading exciting projects that deliver new Arm and/or System Architecture.

Our projects involve research and development of new architecture to meet the expected future needs and trends for the many markets in which Arm technology is active.

We are looking for someone that has project management experience across all stages (investigation & planning, development, delivery, support) of the engineering development lifecycle

Responsibilities will include:
- Project scope management, planning & scheduling,
- Project progress tracking, reporting, & performance analysis
- Risk, dependency and supplier management
- Project governance & assurance through its lifecycle
- Leading, motivating and supporting the teams to deliver against committed goals
- Communicating/collaborating with development teams, internal customers, and management - often across many locations
- Ensuring Architecture product releases to customers happen on schedule, and to required quality levels.
- Leading project retrospectives and continuous improvement activity

Required Skills and Experience:

- A university degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering, Computer Science or Project Management background is desired, although other degrees would be considered if there is relevant experience.

- Good understanding of a range of hardware and software development lifecycle methods (e.g., waterfall, iterative, agile)
- Experience of leading, monitoring, and motivating engineering teams
- Experience collaborating closely with customers, partners, and remote development teams
- Ability to get stuff done in a frequently evolving environment
- Ability to build and communicate plans from a high level to a detailed schedule
- Ability to drive and/or respond to changes in a project (e.g., scope, schedule, and cost)
- You can connect with and understand highly skilled engineering teams
- Clear understanding of, and ability to apply, the concepts of risk management
- Project performance analysis and reporting skills
- Proactive and pragmatic problem solving skills
- Professional, diligent and with a strong attention to detail.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Hardware and/or software engineering background
- Formal project management qualification (e.g., PMP)
- Proficient with use of tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Microsoft Project
- Experience collaborating with remotely located development teams and/or partners or customers.

In Return:
As a Project Manager in ATG, you will be based in Cambridge, UK - but the role involves working with people across multiple locations and time zones.

As part of an exciting career path, you can use and enhance your project management skills on a variety of projects while encouraged and supported by your colleagues and Arm's learning & development processes to achieve your professional goals.

You will have the opportunity to work on Architecture and Technology development projects that are looking multiple years into the future. We develop world-leading secure CPU and system architectures, enabling our partners to build compelling products. This has led to Arm technology being at the heart of a huge number of electronic products around you, such as your mobile phone, PC, gaming consoles and TV.
