Arm is seeking a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to support strategic engagement, business development, and adoption of Physical AI platforms and solutions within the autonomous vehicle and humanoid markets. This customer facing role sits at the intersection of sales, engineering, and customer success, helping customers evaluate, design in, and deploy Arm technology across hardware, software and related AI stacks.
You will engage directly with customer architects, platform engineers, firmware teams, safety & security teams, performance engineers, and AI developers to promotion solutions and to assist in demoing, evaluation, qualification, and large-scale deployment of Arm-based Physical AI solutions. Your work will lead to valuable detailed integrations and reliable autonomous solutions!
The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with customer facing skills and can engage from early pre-sales discovery through technical enablement and post-sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as an integral part of the sales team as the primary technical interface for potential customers and by promoting the use of Arm-based solutions.
- Guide customers through platform selection, platform value tradeoffs, performance expectations, software enablement, scalability, and ecosystem readiness.
- Drive design-in and design-win activities by addressing technical objections, strengthening positioning, and assessing deployment risks.
- Support proof-of-concepts, benchmarking, and technical responses during the pre-sales cycle.
- Help customers resolve technical issues related to hardware, firmware, software, tools, performance, and system integration.
- Understand customer product requirements and translate them into Arm solution recommendations spanning CPU, GPU, AI, security, functional safety, interconnect, and software.
- Deliver technical presentations, roadmap discussions, workshops, demos, and platform reviews for customer engineering and executive teams.
- Build trusted long-term relationships with customer engineering, program, and procurement team members.
- Work closely with internal product, engineering, marketing, and business teams to communicate customer requirements, problems, feedback, and market opportunities.
- Influence roadmap and product strategy by bringing structured field feedback into Arm business units.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Education & Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Technical Experience: Demonstrated ability in a customer-facing technical role such as FAE, Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, or Technical Account Engineer.
- Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of automotive and/or robotics systems and platforms.
- Business/Sales Experience: Experience in promoting, supporting and landing intricate platform/system solution engagements.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain sophisticated technical topics to diverse audiences.
- Travel: Ability to travel to customer sites as needed (approximately 20-30%)

- AI & Software Stacks: Knowledge of autonomous system software stacks and AI models (VLA, reinforcement learning, diffusion policies, world models, VTLA, and/or ACT) and how these models/stacks integrate into systems with evolving functional safety and cyber security needs.
- Virtual Platforms: Knowledge of virtual platforms or digital twins to help simulate, test, and validate autonomous systems before physical deployment.
- Performance Analysis: Experience working with customers to understand performance and workload constraints of autonomous systems.
- Solution Integration: Knowledge of platform architecture, SoCs, CPUs, memory hierarchy, interconnects, networking, and/or how application software, middleware, and OSes work together.
