Job Overview:

As a Principal Automation Engineer Architect, you will lead and drive the design and implementation of innovative automation solutions. As a key leader, you will collaborate across teams to craft solutions that improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), modern CI/CD practices, and experience with virtualisation platforms, container orchestration, and serverless technologies. You will take ownership of the technical strategy for automation and infrastructure while mentoring and guiding the engineering team toward successful delivery of highly sophisticated automation projects.

  • Orchestrate architecture and development of automation solutions, prioritizing scalability, reliability, and security. Evaluate and embrace emerging technologies and standard methodologies to optimise automation workflows and increase deployment efficiency.
  • Lead the implementation based on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks. Develop and integrate modern pipelines with platforms such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins to enable automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Build and manage reliable, highly available infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure. Use virtualisation tools such as VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenStack to improve resource efficiency and manage virtual environments. Design infrastructure by using container technologies and serverless solutions for scalable, flexible deployments.
  • Conduct architectural reviews, develop roadmaps. Offer technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams to ensure the successful execution of automation projects.
