As a Tax Manager, you will play a key role in shaping Arm’s global tax affairs, providing strategic tax counsel in M&A, supply chain management, legislative affairs, and the application of tax law to our business. Reporting to the Director, Tax Planning, you will gain exposure to senior stakeholders and contribute to high-profile initiatives across our entire international operations.
The successful applicant will be team oriented yet able to operate independently and proactively. They will be able to research, analyze, and document complex tax matters, communicate clearly and be willing to learn and analyze tax laws across the multiple countries where we operate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tax support for M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and post-deal integration.
- Contribute to strategic projects, including global tax structuring and transfer pricing.
- Partner with Group Finance, Legal, and business functions to ensure tax considerations are integrated into decision-making.
- Provide tax advice on complex tax and business matters.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4–10 years PQE, with a strong background in international corporate tax.
- ACA/CTA/CPA qualified (or equivalent), with training from a Big 4/large firm
- Experience of M&A transactions and international tax matters.
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to apply it in a commercial context.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to explain tax matters clearly to non-specialists.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to deliver under pressure.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge and experience with UK Patent Box and Double Tax Relief
- Knowledge and experience with U.S. tax laws
- A successful track record of in-house tax experience.
