Are you passionate about writing and ground-breaking technology? Arm’s technology powers 95% of the world’s connected devices, from healthcare to smart homes.
To support our users, we need an early career information developer who will thrive at the heart of software development. Our tools optimise application performance and accelerate innovation across devices. We create technical content that helps users understand and use these tools with confidence.
That means more than writing guides — it’s about building strong relationships with product and support teams, asking the right questions, and getting hands-on with the tools. We test, experiment, and dig deep to build content that’s accurate, credible, and genuinely useful.
This role provides scope to learn and grow in a supportive environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience with advanced software tools, build your skills in technical writing, and be part of a collaborative team that values curiosity, accuracy, and clear communication. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to take on larger projects and broaden your impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop clear, accurate, and useful content for software tools, focusing on smaller content areas and updates with support from senior writers.
- Work with engineers and other subject matter experts to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
- Manage your own workload for well-defined content projects, raising risks or blockers early.
- Apply our writing standards and style guidance consistently, while learning to adapt content for different user needs.
- Take part in team reviews, giving and receiving feedback to improve content quality. Be open to learning new tools, methods, and processes, as well as contributing ideas for improving how we work.
Required Skills and Experience
We would like you to have around 2 years’ experience as a technical writer, information developer, or have worked in a similar role. However, we would be interested in graduates with strong communication skills and some writing experience. You may have a relevant degree or post-grad qualification — but it’s not crucial.
- Familiarity with content and collaboration tools such as Markdown, rST, Git, or Confluence. Experience in a Docs as Code environment is a plus but not crucial.
- Strong communication skills — able to ask good questions, explain findings, and work effectively with our stakeholders.
- Comfortable exploring software products hands-on to understand basic workflows and provide feedback.
Familiarity with sophisticated graphical user interfaces, command-line tools, embedded systems, or adjacent technical skills is a bonus.
What matters most is your ability to learn quickly, develop your technical writing skills, and contribute positively to the team.
In Return
You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive team that regularly co-delivers content for major projects. We’re part of the Sales and Partner Enablement Group, and we create technical content including user documentation, user interface improvements, knowledge-base articles, tutorials, and multimedia.
This role offers autonomy and trust — ideal for someone who knows what good looks like, challenges assumptions, and brings practical insight to their work.
Technical Communications has a strong global presence, with writers from a diverse set of backgrounds and all experience levels. We guide, share, and grow together as a community.
