Job Overview
You will work alongside senior writers, engineers, software and hardware architects, support, and product managers to develop clear, concise, and developer-focused content. This may include Technical Reference Manuals, Configuration, Integration, Implementation, and datasheets. You will help maintain and improve existing documentation, contribute to new projects, and develop a strong understanding of tools and processes in a collaborative documentation environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in creating and maintaining hardware and embedded software documentation for developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering and support to gather information and understand new features.
- Edit and proofread content for clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy.
- Participate in reviews, feedback cycles, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Support content audits, metadata tagging, and improvements in documentation quality and accessibility.
Required Skills and Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely for a technical audience.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and self-motivation.
- Familiarity with basic technical concepts.
- Ability to follow established style guides and content standards.
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Communication, Computer Science, English, Engineering), or equivalent experience.
"Nice to Have" Skills and Experience
- Exposure to structured content or component content management (e.g., DITA XML).
- Experience with Markdown or reStructuredText.
- Experience working with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Oxygen XML Editor, or static site generators.
