Job Overview:

We have an exciting opening for an exceptional individual to join us as our Director for Regional People Partnering for the UK and Ireland, to bring our People strategy to life and help us to build the extraordinary team that will shape the future of computing!

As Director, Regional People Partnering – UK & Ireland, you will lead and develop a team of Regional People Partners and act as a senior People leader in the region.

You’ll be responsible for embedding Arm’s People Strategy locally, enabling managers, supporting organisational effectiveness, and ensuring a positive experience for people at Arm. You’ll bring together insight, action, and leadership to build strong connections between regional needs and Group-wide strategies.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, enablement, and delivery—and who is passionate about shaping a progressive and people-centred culture.

Responsibilities:

You will play a key role for Arm in several critical areas:

Leadership and team development:

  • Provide leadership to the UK People Partnering team: define priorities; coach, mentor and upskill the team; and connect them to Arm’s strategy, so that we continue to build a resilient, engaged and highly effective team.

Generating insights and translating strategy into action:

  • Act as the bridge across the different parts of the People Group and connect with other enterprise functions to ensure that we translate global plans into practical actions that move our strategy forward, ensuring that we deliver as one team, fully aligned to our strategy.
  • Influence People Strategy and Business Group plans through sharing insights, issues and opportunities widely across the People Group.

Operational excellence in delivering our strategy:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to group leadership team members, advising on local context and employment laws, interpersonal dynamics, projects and people-related situations to find pragmatic solutions to challenges and opportunities.
  • Take responsibility for regional delivery of all business change, restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions within the region, translating global plans into a country plan of action and leading the team to deliver, ensuring that we achieve business goals in line with our People Strategy, culture, and regarding local laws.
  • Oversee all UK and Ireland people-related casework, including performance, disciplinaries, grievances, sick absence cases and investigations, ensuring that these are managed in line with our policies and culture, treating individuals with respect and ensuring timely and impactful outcomes
  • Scan the horizon to find opportunities and future issues, ensuring all policies, procedures and documentation reflect our People Strategy and tone, whilst remaining compliant with local laws and customs

Manager enablement:

  • Seek opportunities to build manager capability, capturing key themes and insights and commissioning interventions in partnership with People Group colleagues
  • Play a key role in shaping content, coordinating and delivering Manager Collaboration sessions and other interventions to support our manager community

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced in partnering with leadership teams and C-suite stakeholders to translate People strategy into actionable outcomes, providing cross-organisational and cross-geographic leadership, supported by excellent influencing and communication skills
  • Experience of designing and leading change management and engagement initiatives.
  • A proven track record of developing talent and leading engaged, high-performing teams
  • A strong understanding of UK employment law and experience of handling performance management cases, wellbeing issues and investigations
  • You will be flexible and pragmatic in your approach, comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to fast-changing priorities and dynamics.
  • Good judgement and analytical skills to assess options and craft solutions that balance the business requirements, Arm’s culture and the individual circumstances

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

  • Confident with using and interpreting data for reporting and generating insights
  • Experience of working in a multi-site and/or multinational organisation
  • Passionate about technology, innovation and finding new ways to do things
  • Display a commitment to personal development and a growth mindset

Due to the highly collaborative environment in Arm, travel to various locations within the UK and Ireland, and occasionally internationally may be required.

In Return:

  • Have the opportunity to come and build an exceptional team with a unique opportunity to define the future of computing
  • Work with exceptional colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds, in the UK and beyond
  • Be given exposure to international teams and the opportunity to take the lead on global projects
  • Learn and grow with the organisation
  • Have the chance to lead change and make a difference!
