ROLE OVERVIEW

Join Arm’s Software Technology Management Group and help shape how millions of devices come to life.

We’re seeking a collaborative, curious, and forward-thinking leader to steer the strategy for Arm’s platform firmware and software. In this role, you’ll bring together deep technical insight and a strong sense of customer value, turning advanced research into stable, scalable products used across our global ecosystem.

You’ll work closely with teams across hardware, software, and product management, and partner with customers, OEMs, and developers worldwide to ensure Arm software delivers exceptional experiences!

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategy for platform firmware and software stacks that enable Arm-based SoCs and devices.
  • Gathering, and manage requirements from a diverse set of sources both inside and outside of Arm while translating stakeholder needs into clear, testable specifications. Maintaining end‑to‑end requirement traceability to guide engineering execution.
  • Shape product roadmaps that turn research and prototype software into stable, customer-ready solutions.
  • Guide the lifecycle of Arm software products — from concept to delivery and long-term support.
  • Collaborate closely with architecture, silicon, and product teams to align system software capabilities with Arm’s technology roadmap.
  • Partner with external customers, OEMs, and developers to understand real-world needs and improve the developer experience.
  • Represent Arm in external forums and partnerships, sharing our leadership in embedded technology.

Required Skills and Experience

  • A proven background in systemsoftware or firmware development, ideally with experience in product-ready systems or SDKs.
  • Wide expertise across software disciplines such as platform library optimization, real-time software and operating systems, C/C++ development, device drivers, and general hardware–software integration.
  • Experience in Requirements Management, stakeholder management and leading teams implementing software products from a strategic roadmap.
  • Success working with customers or ecosystem partners on embedded or low-level software.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a people-first leadership approach.

In Return:

At Arm, you’ll shape the next generation of compute building the embedded software platforms that power billions of devices worldwide. You’ll lead a world-class team translating deep technology into products that transform industries and empower the Arm ecosystem to innovate faster.
