Are you ready to shape the future of one of the most prevalent processor architectures in the world? The Director of IT Engineering will lead and supervise the global IT engineering team responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of Engineering IT systems to support Arm’s Engineers.

Arm is a leading semiconductor company that uses electronic design automation (EDA) to build its products by using high-performance compute clusters (HPC) in the US & UK, including meaningful usage of Cloud Service Providers (CSP) (e.g. GCP, AWS, and Azure). The Director will be a member of the Infrastructure, Engineering and Applications leadership team reporting to the VP Infrastructure, Engineering and Applications.


Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the IT engineering function, aligning it with Arm’s overall goals and objectives. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in IT infrastructure and platforms.
- Automate all facets of the existing infrastructure and platform while embracing an automation first approach going forward.
- Redefining our infrastructure, bringing to bear AI to infuse data-driven intelligence into every element of our IT operations.
- Build an extraordinary IT Engineering organization that provides best in class experience for our Engineers
- Lead all aspects of high-performance computing initiatives and manage Linux OS across data centers, and cloud environments.
- Lead the management of virtualization platforms (VMware/VCenter), Kubernetes infrastructure, and cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure), including finding a suitable replacement for VMware and decommissioning RHEV.
- Run IBM LSF systems, including LSF License Scheduler (FlexNet Manager), LSF2AMQP, LSF Explorer, LSF Web Front End, LSF Monitor, and LSF Resources. Ensure reliable operation of RabbitMQ.
- Lead all aspects of ETX, and login servers to provide Engineers an outstanding experience accessing our clusters.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven track record in IT engineering, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
- Solid grasp of High Performance Compute environments including LSF, FlexNet Manager, Rescale, RabbitMQ, and related technologies.
- In-depth understanding of DevOps.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills along with good communication and interpersonal skills!
