Job Description:
Arm is building the next generation of AI platforms for developers to build Cloud to Car and Cloud to Edge solutions in the Automotive and Industrial market segments. Companies across these industries are increasingly switching to compute technology from Arm because of our energy efficient foundations and pervasive footprint.
As a Senior/ Staff Computer Vision Engineer, you will use traditional computer vision and deep learning techniques to build image and video pipelines for a variety of IoT and Automotive applications. You will drive system-level design and ensure the functional suitability and performance of the application.
Responsibilities:
- Build the end-to-end pipeline architectural design, from visual data acquisition to actions and recommendations
- Craft and develop algorithms, such as object detection, classification, recognition, segmentation, tracking, pose estimation and image generation
- Optimize performance for edge devices with deep learning architectures, model optimization and hardware acceleration
- Collaborate with UX / UI designers, ML engineers and embedded software developers for visualization, model deployment and function integration
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in using sophisticated image processing, feature extraction and situational analysis methods to build vision applications
- Consistent track record in the application of deep learning for vision applications (e.g. CNNs, Transfer Learning, Vision Transformers)
- Excellent programming skills preferably C, C++, python. Able to add significant new functionality to complex code cases and analyse and fix defects
- Experience with vision (e.g. OpenCV) and machine learning (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow) APIs and frameworks.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with multi-task learning and its application for multiple vision tasks
- Proficiency with technical methods for Hardware-aware model adaptation and compression including quantization, pruning and knowledge distillation.
- Experience with graphics APIs (e.g. OpenGL ES), integrating video encoders/decoders and processing for streaming applications (e.g. GStreamer)
