Job Overview:
Develop, integrate, enhance, and resolve issues with SAP RAR solutions. You will implement technical projects and maintain live services in a cross-disciplinary and geographically diverse team. You are expected to have deep technical expertise in SAP RAR, ensuring that systems are performant and fit-for-purpose. Your core responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of SAP RAR solutions whilst modernising and improving.
- Ensure sustained service performance levels for SAP RAR solutions including responding to and resolving incidents.
Strong IT background with a track record in complex SAP RAR software projects. Hold at least a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in a related financial industry, with at least 6 years of overall experience in a similar role within a global organisation of which a minimum of 4 years is working with SAP RAR solutions.
A history of performing as the SAP RAR technical specialist in large-scale IT projects from inception to completion is critical.
There is a requirement for on-call.
Required Skills and Experience:
- SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting functionalities, including revenue recognition, contract management, and revenue reporting. Experience of configuring and customising SAP RAR to align with specific business requirements and compliance with revenue recognition standards.
- ABAP programming for custom developments, enhancements, and interfaces related to SAP RAR. Experience with ABAP Objects, BAPIs, User Exits, and the Enhancement Framework.
- Building reports and analytics within SAP RAR to track revenue, compliance, and other key financial indicators.
- Analyse and optimize SAP RAR for performance, particularly in large volume transaction environments.
- Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS 15) and American standards (ASC 606) for revenue recognition, and how they are implemented in SAP RAR.
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance, particularly in areas related to revenue and cost accounting.
- Integrating SAP RAR with other SAP modules (like SAP SD, SAP FI/CO) and external systems. Using integration technologies and protocols such as IDocs, BAPIs, and web services.
- Skills in data migration strategies and tools for SAP RAR, including understanding of data structures and requirements specific to revenue accounting.
- Experience with a variety of delivery methodologies including agile and tools such as Service Now and JIRA.
- Adhere to Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC)!
- Solution development in a DevOps environment, release and deployment management and incident resolution for to restore normal services.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- SAP certifications, such as SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA for Financial Accounting Associates, or other certifications that cover aspects of RAR and financial accounting in SAP!
