This role is for a motivated Project Manager who will be based in ARM’s Bangalore Centre, within the CPU Group as part of the Operations team. The CPU Group is responsible for the design and delivery of ARM Cortex-A, Cortex-R, and Cortex-M class processor IPs.
Working closely with engineering team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring on-time and high-quality deliveries. This individual will have a proven track record of project management across all aspects of the engineering development lifecycle. Responsibilities will include planning, scheduling, issue/risk management, driving and monitoring the project activities as well as management of project stakeholders and dependencies. There will be close links with teams in UK, US, Europe and India, requiring regular communication and occasional travel.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified and Semiconductor experience or proven track record in similar high-tech industry with capacity to quickly ramp up.
- Significant experience in Project Management using leading methodologies and processes.
- Proven ability to lead, monitor and motivate distributed engineering teams.
- Experience of driving project management in constantly evolving hardware and/or software development environments.
- Demonstrated ability in building plans from a high level to a detailed schedule.
- Clear understanding of and ability to apply the concepts of risk management.
- Able to manage project team members through personal leadership and clear project goals.
- Ability to communicate/understand highly skilled engineering teams with confidence.
- Familiar with tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, JIRA, Confluence.
- Understanding of a range of hardware and software development lifecycle methods (e.g., waterfall, iterative, agile).
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Holding formal project management qualification (e.g. PMP, Prince2).
- Has prior experience in working with CPUs or related areas.
- Comfortable with configuration methods, versioning, and documentation tools.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, looking to accept new challenges.
- Professional attitude, with strong attention to detail.
- Pro-active and pragmatic with regards to problem solving.
