Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled technical lead to manage a team of automation tools engineers. In this role, you will be accountable for delivering high-priority features each quarter, collaborating closely with architects, project managers, IT teams, and the broader business and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery. You'll optimize operations and ensure system uptime, working hand-in-hand with software and hardware engineering teams to build robust systems that support our ground breaking technology initiatives and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, recruit, and mentor a diverse team of infrastructure automation and tools engineers.
- Drive the automation of hybrid-cloud infrastructure services using the latest tools and technologies such as Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform Enterprise, Hashicorp Vault, GitLab, Jenkins/Cloudbees, Gerrit, Chef, Puppet, and Foreman.
- As a technical lead, drive the delivery of quarterly prioritized features, collaborating with architects, project managers and coordinate with IT teams, and the wider business and engineering team to deliver projects.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to design, develop, implement, and run secure and reliable services and tools for automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management across on-premises and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including Kubernetes environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 system availability.
- Maintain detailed documentation (HLDs and LLDs) of infrastructure, processes, and procedures to facilitate learning and operational continuity.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with a confirmed focus on infrastructure.
- Experience in running and maintaining infrastructure automation services and tools such as Chef, Puppet, Foreman, Ansible, Terraform Enterprise, Hashicorp Vault, GitLab, Jenkins/Cloudbees, Gerrit, etc.
- Experience in deploying and running observability solutions, such as AIOps (Datadog/Dynatrace) and related services to proactively detect and respond to system issues.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on-premises infrastructure, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, and Cloudbees, etc).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environment integrated with Atlassian Jira and Confluence applications.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Familiarity of experience working in a HW or SW engineering organization
- Experience in running a large distributed systems environment in the cloud and on-premises data centers.
- Relevant technical certifications to showcase your technical expertise and credentials.
