Job Overview:
You will serve as a vital individual contributor, using your deep technical expertise to design and develop Mulesoft solutions that support Arm IT’s vision of delivering exceptional digital experiences.
Develop, optimise, and solve issues with Mulesoft systems. Day-to-day responsibilities will include completing projects as the Integration developer of a cross-disciplinary and geographically diverse team, analysing system performance, and providing solutions to elevate the efficiency and effectiveness of Mulesoft solutions. Collaborate with other teams to ensure technical alignment with business goals, adhering to Arm standards and contributing to the continuous improvement of Mulesoft services. Role is critical in maintaining the technical health of Arm’s IT estate, requiring a keen eye for detail, a passion for technology, and a commitment to excellence.
There is a requirement for on-call.
Responsibilities:
Play a lead role in the end-to-end development and maintenance of Mulesoft products and solutions. You are expected to have deep technical expertise in Mulesoft technologies and core responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of Mulesoft products and services in line with business requirements.
- Modernise and/or improve Mulesoft live services through continuous improvement.
- Ensure sustained service performance levels for Mulesoft products and services including responding to and resolving incidents.
Required Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Integration Developer role in Arm IT will possess a strong IT background with a consistent track record in complex software projects. You will hold at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with at least 8 years of overall experience in a similar role within a large, global organisation of which a minimum of 3 years is working with Mulesoft. Your experience will reflect a deep technical proficiency in SaaS, software, integration, and cloud computing, with a particular emphasis on the Mulesoft. A successful history of performing as the Senior Integration Developer in large-scale IT projects from inception to completion, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is needed. You can work autonomously, with a commitment to staying abreast of the latest industry developments. You will have superb communication skills to effectively collaborate with globally distributed team members, customers, partners and other collaborators across the organisation, ensuring technical solutions are fit-for-purpose and aligned with business needs.
Mulesoft Expertise:
- Proficiency in Mule ESB and Anypoint Studio.
- Deep understanding of MuleSoft’s API-led connectivity approach and Anypoint Platform.
- Experience with MuleSoft's CloudHub! and on-premises solutions.
- Knowledge of MuleSoft's DataWeave! language for data transformation.
- Familiarity with MuleSoft's connectors, scopes, routers, flows, and error handling.
- API Development and Management:
- Experience in designing, developing, and managing RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Understanding of API security standards and protocols such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
- Knowledge of API modelling languages like RAML or Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience integrating enterprise software systems such as SAP ERP, ServiceNow, Salesforce, SharePoint, Marketo.
- Integration Patterns and Best Practices:
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and architectures (like SOA, EDA, microservices).
- Familiarity with message queuing services and protocols (e.g., JMS, AMQP, Kafka).
- Experience with batch processing and real-time integration solutions.
- Database and Data Integration:
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of data integration tools and ETL processes.
- Monitoring and Analytics:
- Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, New Relic).
- Knowledge of logging and analytics platforms (e.g., ELK stack, Splunk).
- Cloud Computing:
- Understanding of cloud services and deployment models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Experience with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Software Development:
- Experience with a broad array of technologies such as Java (e.g. Springboot framework, Maven), JavaScript (Node.js, JSON).
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools (Azure DevOps / Git / GitFlow, Jenkins, Selenium, JMeter / Blaze Meter)
- Adhere to Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence
- Solution development in a DevOps environment.
- Handle release and deployment of Mulesoft changes, ensuring that the integrity of the live environment is protected and that the correct components are released.
- Quickly and effectively lead the incident resolution for Mulesoft to restore normal services.
- Handle the lifecycle of problems that cause or may cause Mulesoft incidents with a focus on preventing future issues.
- Own documentation creation and knowledge creation processes.
- Handle changes to local and Cloud IT infrastructure in a way that minimises risk and disruption.
- A continuous improvement attitude with the ability to analyse current processes and identify areas for enhancement.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- MuleSoft Certified Developer and/or MuleSoft Certified Architect.
- Certifications in relevant areas such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect
