Job Overview:

This role is a product leadership role in the Infrastructure Line of Business at Arm, where we define, promote, and enable deployment of Arm Neoverse CSS and IP in Cloud, Edge, supercomputing HPC, and Networking segments. The role of the product director at Arm is a critical one, at the intersection of strong engineering teams and SoC market requirements with significant influence across product categories.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage CSS and component products that win in the market for server, AI, networking, and high performance computing infrastructure SoCs. Be responsible for the delivery of:
  • Value proposition, collateral, messaging, and competitive position for Arm Neoverse products
  • Brief at senior exec levels inside Arm and senior engineering levels outside Arm on compute subsystems and IP components. Demonstrate outstanding clarity, collateral creation, and presentation.
  • Negotiate and set ambitious targets with engineering for PPA (performance, power, area) and feature set for multiple products and lines of products
  • Cost and TCO analysis of internal and external IP, subsystems, and silicon, evaluate tradeoffs such as OPEX vs. CAPEX.
  • Model and forecast expected return, using segment TAM and SAM analysis, along with competitive analysis and projection.
  • Closely manage project execution in collaboration with project managers and program
  • Lead customer engagement and obtain feedback on workloads and features
  • Engage engineering, architecture, technology, and software divisions in Arm to land innovative capabilities in our product roadmap.

Exceptional candidates will also be able to be accountable for

  • Work with engineering to define and map system architecture and instruction set architecture roadmap beyond compute subsystem and components
  • Produce market specific collateral and go to market plan for compute subsystems
  • Plan the technology roadmap that feeds multiple products
  • Develop complete product story include software, firmware, and tools
  • Map and optimize the full customer journey for CSS, SoC development, enablement, and ramp to volume.
  • Understand related market segments outside of infrastructure (smartphones, automotive, laptop, IoT) and prioritize and balance competing needs across demand segments
  • Technical briefings on your area of domain expertise in broad forums
  • Present in front of large (100+) person audiences in a compelling way
  • Take an exciting problem from management, form a working group, come back with a solution, then implement it.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • BS or MS (preferred) Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience)
  • 5+ years in engineering for SoC design or an equivalent before transitioning to product / commercial role. 10+ years in product management or commercial facing roles with Silicon, IP, or SoC products
  • Deep understanding of CPU, on-chip interconnect, and SoC design
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to build technical consensus across teams and bring clarity to complex problems.
  • Knowledge of one or more of cloud applications, hyperscale cloud processes and economics, network architecture, SmartNICs, DPUs

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Software domain knowledge for cloud native architectures
  • Understanding of performance benchmarking methodologies and workloads
  • Experience driving industry standards and speaking publicly at various industry technical forums and events.
