Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver category strategies for indirect technology infrastructure spend, using demand, spend, supplier and market insight to create an actionable sourcing pipeline.
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing for infrastructure equipment, systems and services, from market assessment and supplier selection through competitive tendering, negotiation and contracting.
- Build commercial strategies that assess total cost of ownership, capacity, flexibility, service levels, commitments and risk, creating value beyond headline price.
- Evaluate sourcing models for infrastructure hardware and services, considering OEM relationships, supplier capability, commercial structures and long-term business needs.
- Monitor infrastructure technology markets, supplier capabilities and commercial developments, translating insight into category and sourcing decisions.
- Manage commercial relationships with infrastructure OEMs, colocation and hosting providers, and service suppliers, supporting performance, governance, risk management and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Engineering, IT and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, provide commercial guidance and influence sourcing and investment decisions.
- Identify supplier and commercial risks, agree mitigating actions and support alignment with Arm’s ESG objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience managing indirect technology procurement categories and sourcing infrastructure hardware, systems or services for internal IT, engineering or data center environments.
- Ability to develop category strategies and turn market, supplier, spend and demand insight into practical sourcing plans.
- Experience leading complex sourcing activities, including competitive tendering, commercial negotiation and contracting for technology infrastructure.
- Ability to translate technical and business requirements into commercial strategies, while working constructively with Engineering, IT and senior stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience
- Experience negotiating colocation, hosting or data center capacity agreements.
- Experience sourcing cloud infrastructure or related services.
- Experience in technology procurement within a technology, semiconductor or engineering organisation.
- Experience working across global organisations and international supplier markets.
- Experience using source-to-contract tools, such as Ariba, or procurement orchestration platforms, such as Zip.
- A relevant procurement qualification, such as MCIPS, or equivalent practical procurement experience.
In Return
This is an opportunity to influence infrastructure purchasing decisions that support Arm’s engineering, IT and AI compute environments.
