Job Overview:
Arm is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Data Center Engineering organization on the team responsible for the labs and data centers housing early prototype systems. Work will occur at labs located primarily within the US and the UK. Systems being developed are novel, large-scale high-powered accelerator based compute machines.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deploy lab and data center network infrastructure to support the HPC hardware development environments.
- Develop and lead reliable, resilient and scalable networks including runbooks to deploy and operate similar networks at potentially gigawatt scale.
- Assessing new technologies and standard methodologies for adoption
- Driving standardization and automation into all aspects of the network platform
- Coordinate with Arm corporate IT for cross lab connectivity and overall standard processes
- Support logging and data collection of metrics
- Develop and maintain detailed network diagrams and documentation.
- Operate as primary networking administrator for the labs including some amount of on-call support
Required Skills and Experience :
- Professional experience designing data center network infrastructures
- Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, STP, VRRP)
- Expert level routing and switching skills
- Keen understanding of network security architectures within the data center domain
- Prior experience with high speed HPC networks is helpful
- Prior experience with capacity modeling/forecasting of the data center network
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (shell, Python, Ansible, etc.) for network orchestration
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Professional certifications such as CCNP Data Center, JNCIP-DC, or equivalent
- Exposure to network performance management tools such as Solarwinds, Dynatrace, ManageEngine, Grafana, Kentik, etc.
- Understanding of data center facilities (power, cooling, cabling best practices)

Salary Range:
