Director, People Manager Development
About the Role
At Arm, our people are at the heart of our success. We’re looking for an expert and strategic Director to lead the design and execution of executive and manager development strategy. This role will elevate the skills of our leaders and strengthen our succession pipelines, shaping how leaders at all levels grow at Arm. You will design scalable, high-impact learning experiences and performance strategies that empower leaders to mobilize their teams for execution, and drive business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Capability Building:
Design, develop, deliver, and continuously evolve high-impact development programs and strategies, mentoring initiatives, and digital learning solutions to elevate the capability of Arm’s senior leadership population. This will include embedding our Leadership Principles (10x Mindset) into our Leadership Development strategies and offerings.
Program Design & Delivery:
Partner with team members across the People Group and business to define learning needs and build tailored development programs for People Managers and Technical Leaders across Arm.
Design, deliver, and continuously improve manager development initiatives—blending digital learning pathways, facilitated experiences, and on-the-job tools. The priority will be an engaging and practical program to help new managers quickly understand their responsibilities and build confidence in leading people and teams.
Leadership Assessment & Insight:
Design, develop, deliver, and continuously evolve Arm’s Leadership Assessment approach —ensuring data-driven insights are embedded into core processes and used to drive actionable development and succession outcomes.
Executive Coaching: Lead Arm’s coaching strategy — including vendor management, content development, and impact evaluation.
Mentoring & Peer Learning: Develop mentoring and knowledge-sharing initiatives to encourage learning ‘in the flow of work’ and build community across Arm.
Culture of Feedback: Act as a champion for continuous feedback. Partner with business leaders to embed coaching and feedback practices into everyday work at Arm.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of deep expertise in designing and implementing Leadership Development solutions at all levels - Executives, People Managers and Technical Leaders.
- Proven success building trusted partnerships with Executive-level stakeholders and
influencing across a matrixed, global organization.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills — able to engage, challenge, and
inspire senior leaders.
- Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead projects from inception through completion while bringing stakeholders along.
- Strong understanding of leadership assessment tools and how to embed insights across the employee lifecycle.
- Experience managing vendors and budgets to deliver efficient and high-quality program outcomes.

Salary Range:
$166,600 - $225,400 per year
